As the length of a game increases, so does the gamespace; it is usual in ten-days for the entire campus to be in game. While, for the sake of player and GM sanity, GMs will concentrate locations in the usual Guild haunts, there may be far off item fountains to reward intrepid players. Of course, these are very useful to find, so campus crawling is the practice of methodically exploring every building on campus in order to find coveted location signs.

Generally a Good Idea, unless you're playing in Synchronicity in which case the damn World Trade Center keeps moving around. (But that means you just have to crawl campus multiple times, to find out where everything moved...)
